No, once the Barco is provisioned, the unit does not require internet for content sharing or conferencing. As long as the host Laptop/Computer is on a reliable bandwidth.
Q. What are the Advantages of connecting Barco to the network?
Ans.

It is recommended to connect Barco base to the network. Supports Miracast & IOS if on the network. Further,  having ClickShare application on host laptop, you can connect to content share using this application without the Button. It will assist in Auto firmware updates (if enabled).
